The Brooklyn Bank & Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. (Tau Beta Lambda chapter) host "United for Haiti" to raise funds and awareness in the wake of the recent catastrophic earthquake Haiti has endured. On Saturday, August 14th Haiti was devastated by a 7.2-magnitude earthquake. Over 1,297 lives have been lost while schools, hospitals, churches, bridges and more than 13,000 homes have been destroyed. Rescue workers are working vigorously to extract survivors from the rubble and debris.

100% of the funds collected will be distributed directly to relief efforts on the ground in Haiti. The Brooklyn Bank is also sending a team of volunteers to Haiti to aid with relief efforts.
